The Perfect Soft Boiled Egg can be accomplished a few different ways, which is cool. I’ll show you the easy and quick way that protects the texture.

To create the perfect soft boiled eggs;
Method Used: Steaming
Fill a pot with enough water to come up a third of the way on the sides of the eggs
Bring to a boil
Next, add the eggs. Room Temperature Eggs. We are steaming the eggs to create the perfect texture
Cover the pot and turn the temperature down to low
Set timer for 6 minutes exactly
Have a water bath with warm water ready to place the eggs in once the timer goes off.
Key to peeling soft / hard boiled eggs, do not shock the eggs in cold water. Peeling: run warm water exactly on the edge of the egg shell where you are peeling for ease of the shell removal.
Keep the hot water in the pot. You can use the hot water to rewarm the eggs before serving/plating
Method Used: Soft Boiled
Fill a pot with enough water to completely cover the eggs
Bring water to a hard boil
Next, add the eggs.Room Temperature Eggs. I suggest lowering them in using a large spoon to help make sure they do not crack
Cover the pot and turn the temperature down to low
Set timer for 4:30 minutes exactly
Have a water bath with warm water ready to place the eggs in once the timer goes off.
Key to peeling soft / hard boiled eggs, do not shock the eggs in cold water.
Peeling: Two ways, either peel under water or under running warm water
Keep the hot water in the pot. You can use the hot water to rewarm the eggs before serving/plating
